A room-by-room reset before children visit
Most homes do not need to become permanent playrooms. They do need a quick look from a child’s height.
Living areas
Check unstable furniture, TVs, accessible cords, blind chains, small batteries, magnets, fragile objects and anything heavy that can be pulled down.
Kitchen
Move cleaning products, medicines, knives and hot appliances away from easy reach. Ask about allergies before planning meals.
Bathroom
Lock away medication, razors and chemicals. Think about hot water, slippery floors and access to water.
Outside
Check gates, pools, tools, chemicals, garages, sheds, pets and any equipment children may use. Supervision remains essential.
